| Important Announcement |
Certificates will be revised in order to ensure that the obtained TimeStamp token is valid 10 years from the issued date.
The service will be suspended during the following period based on Time-Stamping Service Practice Statement (TPS)4.5.1(2).
We apologize for your inconvenience due to this suspension of the service.
Outage time: July 20, 2010 (Tue) 12:30 to 12:55 (JST) (scheduled)
*TimeStamp token cannot be issued during the above period.
New root certificate and intermediate certificate will be required when you verify the TimeStamp token after the certificates are revised.
Be sure to complete adding the new root certificate and intermediate certificate by the time the certificate are revised.
*New root certificate and intermediate certificate need to be added for any of the following:
PFU TimeStamp Client Tool
PFU TimeStamp for Adobe Acrobat
Self-produced application on which the SDK is used

Method for Revising the Root Certificate/Intermediate Certificate |

When execution environment is Windows
Add the root certificate/intermediate certificate in the following procedure:
- Downloading the certificates
Download the root certificate and the intermediate certificate from the following websites, and save them in the suitable folder.
Root certificate: https://www2.jcsinc.co.jp/repository/certs/SSAD-rca.der
The root certificate is saved as “SSAD-rca.cer”
Intermediate certificate: https://www2.jcsinc.co.jp/repository/certs/SSAD-sca1.der
The intermediate certificate is saved as “SSAD-sca1.cer”.
- Importing the root certificate
Add the root certificate in the following procedure:
(a) Execute (double-click) the “SSAD-rca.cer” file which was downloaded in step 1.
(b) Click [Install certificate] under the [General] tab in the [Certificate] dialog box.
(c) Click [Next] in the “Welcome to the Certificate Import Wizard” window.
(d) Select [Place all certificates in the following store] in the “Certificate store” window, and click [Browse] in the same window.
(f) Select [Trusted Root Certification Authorities] in the “Select Certificate Store” window, and click [OK].
(g) Confirm that “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” is displayed under the “Certificate store” column in the “Certificate Store” window,and click [Next].
(h) Click [Finish] on the “Completing the Certificate Import Wizard” window.
(i) Click [OK] in the [Certificate] dialog box.
- Importing the intermediate certificate
Add the intermediate certificate in the same importing procedure for the root certificate.
* Importing procedure is the same as when importing the root certificate except for two procedures; the file name is “SSAD-sca1.cer”, and “Intermediate Certification Authorities” should be selected in the “Select Certificate Store” window.
- Checking the import result
Check that the certificate is added in the following procedure.
From the Internet Explorer menu, select [Tools] – [Internet options] and click [Certificates] under the contents tab.
Make sure that the following certificates exist in the displayed certificate window:
Root certificate: [SecureSign RootCA11] under the [Trusted Root Certification Authorities] tab
Intermediate certificate: [SecureSign Public CA11] under the [Intermediate Certification Authorities] tab
Now the certificates have been added.

When applications which are developed by PFU TimeStamp SDK RFC3161 for Java is used
Add the root certificate/intermediate certificate in the following procedure:
- Downloading the certificates
Download the root certificate and intermediate certificate from the following websites:
Root certificate: https://www2.jcsinc.co.jp/repository/certs/SSAD-rca.der
Intermediate certificate: https://www2.jcsinc.co.jp/repository/certs/SSAD-sca1.der
- Storing the root certificate
Store the downloaded root certificate and intermediate certificate in the folder where pfu-tslib.jar File (the file provided by PFU TimeStamp SDK RFC3161 for Java) is stored.
Now, the certificates have been added.
